What this is

A record-keeping tool. It organises rent, expenses and receipts, works out dates from the information you enter, and prepares draft worksheets you can transcribe onto CRA forms.

What it is not

• Not tax advice. Nothing here is advice, and using it creates no accountant–client or advisor–client relationship. Coreshift AI LLC is not a firm of accountants or lawyers.
• Not a filing service. It never sends anything to CRA. Every return, slip, election and payment is submitted by you.
• Not a substitute for a professional. Have a Canadian accountant review your position, particularly in your first year and whenever your circumstances change.

Accuracy

Tax rules change, and the ones encoded here were correct to the best of our understanding when written. Deadlines, rates, thresholds and brackets may be out of date or wrong. Figures are only as good as what you enter: an amount typed in the wrong box produces a confident, wrong answer. You are responsible for checking every figure before you rely on it.

Automated reading of documents

Receipts and documents you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract their details, and are stored by us. Automated reading makes mistakes; anything it produces is marked for your review and is not counted until you confirm it.

Your records

Keep your own copies. Penalties, interest and lost refunds that follow from a missed deadline, an incorrect figure, data loss or an interruption of this service remain your responsibility. Back up your records and do not treat this as your only copy.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Coreshift AI LLC is not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including penalties, interest, additional tax, lost refunds, or lost records.

Some of these limits may not apply where consumer protection law says otherwise. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
